Firewise Landscaping: Campaigning for Wildfire Risk Reduction Practices

About this session

Firewise landscaping is a design strategy that uses careful plant selection, strategic placement, and regular maintenance to create defensible space around a home, reducing its vulnerability to wildfire while providing a desirable landscape. This workshop will include the basics on fire-resistant plants and firewise landscaping technique, and recent projects to promote the topic to educators and garden nurseries in central Oregon.
